Have you heard of Road ID? It is an awesome company that provides a way to carry ID with you while you are out and about and may not be carrying your wallet or other identification.

From the Road ID website: ID should be as common and important as putting on a seat belt when getting into a car, or strapping on a bike helmet to go for a ride. Identification is important for people of all ages. If you are a runner, cyclist, jogger, walker, hiker, climber, skater, skier, boarder, or someone who doesn't spend all of their time on the couch, then we encourage you to wear ID. Kids need ID too as they rarely have ID when they go out for a bike ride or walk to school.

Here are some stats for you: Each year over 450,000 of us are taken to hospitals unconscious and without ID. Year after year, over 122,000 runners, walkers, and cyclists are hit by cars. Thousands more suffer blackouts, concussions, heart attacks, heat strokes and other serious accidents. The National Safe Kids Campaign estimates that "every day, 39,000 children are injured seriously enough to require medical attention."
I got my first Road ID over a year ago. I chose to get the Road ID Interactive, which allows me to have an online profile with any and all information an emergency responder would need: emergency contacts, allergies, insurance information, etc.

I wear my Road ID everytime I go out without my purse: while running, hiking, swimming, etc. It provides peace of mind that in case something happens to me, police will know who I am and who to call.

Road ID is also great while traveling! I have seen families at Disney World all wearing bracelets, listing their names and contact phone numbers, just in case the child became separated from the parents. I thought this was such a great idea!

Road IDs are very inexpensive for comfort they provide. And they are stylish, too! The bracelet styles come in different widths and colors, and you can even add a badge to decorate it. I have two different color bands that I switch out to match my outfit: Orange and Red. You can get a Road ID as a bracelet, shoe ID, ankle ID, dogtag, or as a Dog Tag (don't want to leave out our furry friends from being protected!).

Do you have a Road ID? If not, you should! Please visit Road ID today and protect yourself!
Congrats to Karrie Middaugh!

I love RoadID I have an id for my 9 year old son, I think I got it for him when he was 7. He wears it any time he is out without his parents. Field trips, summer camps, etc. It has our contact information on it in case of emergency.

I also purchased one for my Mom in 2011. She is a breast cancer survivor and now has a limb alert and is allergic to aspirin. I have all of that info on her road id in case of an emergency. She wears it daily.

I love that you can use RoadId for so many things.
